If that fine promo video hasn’t clued you in, allow me: War Party is playing the Hi-Tone tonight. Hailing from Forth Worth, the band has described their music as “Don’t Wop.” It’s a fitting description for a band like War Party. Punk, 60′s pop, garage — the influence is there, but it’s definitely more about the “Don’t” than the “Do.” Simplicty is their secret ingredient. Check out the band’s limited edition cassette split.
